Jade & Mommy Sondra

We haf an update from Mom Sondra, not furry good noos, but at least they's know what is wrong wif Jade. Pleeze send yours strongest, rumbliest purrs for bof of them.
Dearest KC,
Thank you so very much the post about Jade and I. Everyone's comments have been so kind and all the hugs and purrs have made us (well, at least me) feel a little better.
However, Jade is much sicker than I originally thought. Instead of the chronic UTI, Jade has a life-threatening case of infectious feline anemia. If I had not been so blessed to find a vet that knew what her symptoms were, I would have already lost her. He reacted quickly and put her on a strict regimen of medications, but she is still very ill and is not yet out of the woods.
KC, would you please add an update to ask everyone to keep praying for Jade and to tell everyone that has sent purrs, hugs, and prayers our way how much we appreciate all of them? It really helps me to know that other people care--I don't feel quite so alone. So many people don't understand how I could be so attached to Jade; they say she's just a cat. But I know the people who read your blog understand that she's so much more to me, just as their furbabies are so much more to them.
And most of all, thank you KC, for putting us in touch with all this love and support when we need it the most.
Love and Many Purrs,
Sondra
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I's received this email an wanted a place fur effurryone to leaf comments, since they do not haf a bloggie. Please send Jade and Mommy Sondra lots of ginormous rumbly purrs and purrayers.
Dear KC,
I writing to ask you and all of the people who visit your wonderful blog to please pray for my kitty, Jade. She suffers from chronic urinary tract problems and she is very ill. I'm terrified that I'm going to lose her.
Jade was with during a recent abusive relationship and if it wasn't for her, I think I might have simply given up. Jade and I finally got out of the relationship, but she's pretty much all I have left. She means the world to me.
Please ask everyone for their prayers for Jade's healing and recovery. I'm praying the Lord will let me keep Jade with me here on Earth for a few more years.
Thank you so much for your prayers.
Sondra
Dear Jade's mom Sondra,
We are purring and sending healing energy to sweet Jade. I would also like to tell you about a support group on Yahoo for Cats and Dogs with Anemia. I have been a member of this group for years and the members provide support and excellent advice for cat parents dealing with anemia.
I would imagine that Jade is now on doxycycline for her hemobart. It's lucky that the vet found it, as it can be hard to diagnose. Again, I would encourage you to talk to the group members. Many of them have had kitties with Jade's issues.
Blessings,
'Kaika's mom
Dear Sondra and Jade, We're very glad that you found a vet who knew exactly how to help Jade. That's a good suggestion from 'Kaika's Mom about a support group. We'll keep purring and purraying for you two in the meantime,
Dear Sondra and Jade, we are glad you have found a good vet who is being really pro-active in helping Jade out with her IFA. Ignore the people who don't understand human love for our animal friends. It's as valid a love as the love humans have for each other. That support group sounds very good. We send you lots of rumbly purrs to help you at this difficult time.
we're glad you found a vet that knows whats wrong! Stick with him! And we're sure he will do everything he can to help you pull her through this!
And anyone who doesn't understand how one could be so attached to a cat, doesn't understand love. cats are family, not just some animal or pet. They are a part of our lives. They are our babies.
We are purraying hard for Jade's recovery!
